A honeycomb structure comprises through holes (3) along the axial direction formed by multiple walls (2), in which the structure comprises multiple honeycomb parts of different materials integrated together. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a canning structure comprising the honeycomb structure having a pair of exhaust pipes inside the honeycomb structure, in which one tip of the honeycomb structure has recess or protrusions and the pipes are fitted on the recess or protrusions; and (ii) the preparation of the honeycomb structure.
