PURPOSE: A multi-direction slide input apparatus of a portable terminal is provided to increase the accuracy of an input signal requested by a user by making fixed contact points and moving contact points independently in each direction. CONSTITUTION: A multi-direction slide input apparatus(K) of a portable terminal comprises a base(100), an X-axis moving stage(200), an Y-axis moving stage(300) and a circuit board(400). The base includes a rectangular manipulation surface. Along the rim of the rectangular manipulation surface, a wall(130) is formed. At least four or more fixed contact points(132) are formed inside the base. The X-axis moving stage is mounted on the manipulation surface. An X-axis sliding portion is formed so as to be protruded on upper/lower walls so that the X-axis moving stage can horizontally move.
