METHOD FOR PERFORMING CELL SEARCH PROCEDURE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for performing a cell search procedure in a wireless communication system is provided to increase the amount of control information which is loaded on a control channel or the capacity of a terminal by increasing the number of available sequences. CONSTITUTION: A method for enabling a terminal to perform a cell search procedure in a wireless communication system comprises the following steps of: searching the first synchronous channel including a PSC(primary synchronization code) and then searching the second synchronous channel, wherein the first and second synchronous channels respectively include the first and second SSCs(Secondary Synchronization Codes); and exchanging the first and second SSC elements of the first synchronous channel with the first and second SSC elements of the second synchronous channel.
