METHOD FOR HANDOVER BETWEEN DIFFERENT RADIO ACCESS SCHEMES AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A handover method between different wireless access methods and a wireless communication system are provided to distinguish the wireless access method of a handover destination without receiving common control information. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication system includes a plurality of base stations(20a,20b) and at least one mobile station. The base stations support at least one of two or more wireless access methods. The mobile station can perform the communication based on the wireless access methods. The handover method between the base stations comprises the following steps. Before the mobile station moves from the first base station to the second base station, the second base station transmits information for specifying a wireless access method for the initial connection to the mobile station.
