PURPOSE: An electronic device including a touch-sensitive input surface and a method for determining the user selection input are provided to determine the first user selection from one of plural user selectable options on a graphic user interface. CONSTITUTION: A method for determining the user selection input comprises the following steps of: determining the first user selection based on a touch attribute(120); detecting the change of the touch attribute which includes the size of at least one touch(122); and determining the changed direction of position of the touch if the change in the size of the touch exists(124).
