PURPOSE: A method for determining the feedback period of a closed-loop communication system for a radio regional range network channel environment and an MIMO communication system using the method are provided to expanding the period of feedback information, thereby reducing the amount of information. CONSTITUTION: A method for attenuating a feedback signal by selecting transmission-stage antennas(150,152,154,156) which will transmit a signal in a receiving stage comprises the following steps of: estimating a channel condition by using a signal received from the transmission-stage antennas; determining a beam weight vector from the Grassmannian codebook correspondingly to the estimated channel condition; and then making the receiving stage determine antenna selection information so that the signal can be transmitted through some of the transmission-stage antennas.
