PURPOSE: A system for offering a collect-call message service and a method thereof are provided to enable a callee to receive a message from a caller without the necessity for the caller to make a telephone call to the callee again when the callee cannot receive the call from the caller. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing a collect-call message service from the first terminal to the second terminal through a network comprises the following steps of: receiving/storing a transmission message to be transmitted to the second terminal(S120); notifying the second terminal whether the transmission message is received(S140); transmitting the transmission message to the second terminal when the second terminal connects a call for the transmission message according to the notification(S160,S180); and selecting whether to receive the entire transmission messages(S200).
