A broadcasting receiver and a method of processing log information are provided to monitor the log information of a broadcasting receiver at a remote place. A method for processing the log information of a broadcasting receiver(52) connected to a broadcasting transmitter through a bi-directional communication network is characterized by comprising the steps of: generating the log information of a corresponding broadcasting receiver; and transmitting the generated log information to the broadcasting transmitter through a network management unit(40). The broadcasting receiver is characterized by including: a log information generator that generates the log information; a storage unit that stores the generated log information; and a bi-directional communication unit that transmits the one of those two kinds of log information, which are generated by the log information generator and stored in the storage unit, to the broadcasting transmitter through the network management unit. |
