A compressor of an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to prevent noise due to the movement of a bearing and prevent loss of power by reducing machining tolerance with the close adhesion of a snap ring. A compressor of an air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a housing(200), a crank shaft(300), a shaft mounting part(220), a bearing(330), an insertion groove(230), and a snap ring(400). The housing comprises a plurality of cylinders(310). The crank shaft delivers the driving force for reciprocating motion of the cylinder. The shaft mounting part is opened at one side of the housing. The shaft mounting part inserts the crank shaft from the outside into the housing. The bearing is installed inside the shaft mounting part. The bearing supports the crank shaft to be rotated. The insertion groove is recessed in the inner circumference of the shaft mounting part. The single-side of the insertion groove inclines. The snap ring is formed in a hook shape having elasticity. The side of the snap ring contacted with the insertion groove is inclined. When the snap ring is inserted into the insertion groove, the snap ring restricts the bearing with the elasticity.
