PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor enabling accurate check of an oil level in a bearing chamber and not causing oil shortage in bearings in the screw compressor having a rotor shaft disposed in a horizontal direction and lubricating the bearing supporting the rotor shaft by oil-bathing. SOLUTION: The screw compressor 1 having the rotor shafts 5, 6 disposed in the horizontal direction, having oil sumps 25, 26 formed at bottom parts of bearing chambers 21, 22 storing the bearings 14, 15, 17, 18 supporting the rotor shafts 5, 6, and constructed to lubricate lower parts of the bearings 14, 15, 17, 18 by soaking the same in oil, is provided with a chamber 40 provided separately from the bearing chambers 21, 22, an oil line 43 providing communication between the oil sumps 25, 26 of the bearing chambers 21, 22 and a chamber 40, and an oil level surface detection means 42 provided in the chamber 40.
