PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coating both surfaces of a steel sheet, by which the steel sheet is coated to exhibit excellent appearance while suppressing occurrence of coating unevenness in the sheet width direction in the simultaneous coating of both one and another surfaces of the steel sheet by a roll coater system both surface coating apparatus. SOLUTION: The occurrence of the coating unevenness of the steel sheet 9 is suppressed by arranging a one side surface applicator roll 11 and the other side surface applicator roll 15 to offset by a certain distance (δ) in the steel sheet travelling direction to increase tension of the steel sheet 9, to lower amplitude L of a meniscus 21 and to increase the vibration frequency f of the meniscus 21.
