PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of urging a user to recognize that pressurization is being performed in a body even after power supply is interrupted when the pressurization is performed. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: the body 1 for storing a pot 11; a pressure adjusting part 58 as a pressurizing unit for pressurization inside the body 1; and a display unit 128 for displaying pressurized condition by lighting or flickering when the power supply to the body 1 is interrupted when the pressurization is performed. Thus, When the pressurization is performed to the body 1, then, the pot 11 and also the power supply to the body 1 is interrupted, the display unit 128 displays an effect that pressurizing is being performed inside the body 1 by lighting or flickering. By the displaying, the user is urged to recognize that pressurization is being performed in the body 1.
