The end has a digital signal processing hardware for maintaining electrical potential separation between analog circuit and a digital circuit. The sensor or actuator component receives operating voltage over primary voltage supply (1) with inner potential. Signal sampling takes place with an analog/digital converter (2) on reference potential of external sensor signals (3). The potential separation within the component is bridged by a direct current/direct current converter (4) and a digital optical coupler (5) transfers voltage value or signal processing result to the inner potential.
