The element (6) has a repositioned attaching surface that points to a tapered sliding surface (5a) of a door latch (5) in a condition for attachment of the element to the sliding surface. A recess penetrates one of edges opposite to the attaching surfaces. The element is provided with a wedge-shaped cross section. A stop surface (9) is approximately parallel to a direction of motion of the door latch. The element is attached to the sliding surface. The sliding surface snaps the door latch into a door frame in a normal condition. An independent claim is also included for a door lock comprising a door latch movable in a door case against force of a spring.
