PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate inserting device which allows to improve its economical use by preventing impairing of a printing plate and improving of operating ease by averting the trouble to remount a new printing plate onto a printing plate replacement device. SOLUTION: This printing plate inserting device is so contrived that a braking action is applied in order to avert the dragging of the new printing plate 11 into the pressing roller 110 side by a braking means when a bent part 11a of the tip part of the new printing plate 11 is brought into contact with the peripheral face of the pressing roller 110.
