<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-chip electronic musical sound generator capable of accessing a storage means from a control means, while regulating properly use of a time slot by the control means, and while securing the number of simultaneous sound productions as much as possible, as far as an access time of the control means is allowed. <P>SOLUTION: A memory control part 14 outputs a CTR signal to a bus controller 10, when a cache is miss-hit, and the control part 12 tries to access an external bus 200, via the memory control part 14. The memory control part 14 issues a command to the bus controller 10, in a prescribed empty time slot, waiting timing when a free channel exists in a musical sound generating part 11, and connects an internal bus 100 to the external bus 200.
