<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice ball-producing apparatus which can produce straw bag-like rice balls in high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The rice ball-producing apparatus is equipped with a turntable having a plurality of molding holes formed in the circumferential direction and used for receiving a prescribed quantity of cooked rice, respectively, and can form rice balls having a prescribed shape by the intermittent rotation of the turntable and by the receiving and pressing of cooked rice in the molding holes. In this apparatus, the turntable has a bottom plate for forming the bottoms of the molding holes, a rotary plate having partition walls disposed on the upper side of the bottom plate and used for partitioning the molding holes adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, a ring-like outside wall disposed on the outer circumferential side of the revolution orbit of the partition walls, and a ring-like inside wall disposed on the inner circumferential side of the revolution orbit of the partition walls; the molding holes are formed of the partition walls, the outside wall and the inside wall in a long hole state viewed from above; and an outside tapered surface and an inside tapered surface for upward expanding each molded hole in ingredient hole-forming region for forming an ingredient hole for inserting ingredient materials into each rice ball received in the molding hole are disposed in the outside wall and the inside wall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
