<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine provided with a control system for the active control of the engine in an EGR system with the consideration of hydrodynamic states in the engine during transient operation generated inside. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine with the exhaust-gas-recirculation system is provided with an electronic control means designed to process an analytical model of the quantities of "effective lambda" and "effective EGR percentage" which is constituted on a basis of the laws of physics that regulate the hydrodynamic states in an intake pipe, in an exhaust pipe, and in a recirculation pipe of the engine. On the basis of deviation between the values of quantities estimated by the model and the reference values of the quantities associated with the states of the operation of the engine, an operation of correction on control of a valve that governs the recirculation circuit is implemented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
