<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication technology in which both security and convenience are improved. <P>SOLUTION: One or more IC card readers are prepared and positions of the respective readers or the reading order of the plurality of readers are used as information for authentication determination. An IC card checks (S2) read reader ID, a host computer confirms (S3) the authentication information of the IC card, the IC card checks (S5) whether authentication is successful in all the set readers or not and requests (S6) the host computer to permit action (e.g. entrance into a room with high security) to be permitted only to a person whose authentication is successful in all the set readers to an IC card owner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
