<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of separating a subject and a non-subject in an image even when a light scene is photographed. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (11 to 26) which photographs one scene with high stroboscope light intensity and low stroboscope light intensity, and detects the border between a subject area and a non-subject area in the photographed image based on comparison between luminances of images acquired by the above photographing, includes a control means (20). The control means (20) controls timings of exposure of an imaging element (14) and emission of stroboscope light so that a period overlapping with a light non-emission period of stroboscope light in an exposure period of the imaging element (14) is shorter when the photography with high stroboscope light is performed than when automatic exposure mode photography is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
