PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine having a stator to which a plurality of plates can be fixed easily without a protrusion formed on the surface of the stator made up of the plurality of plates. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes a stator made up of the plurality of plates, which are made of magnetic material and laminated in an axial direction. A protrusion 45 along the axial direction is formed on one face of the side plate members 41A, 41B arranged on both sides of the stator in the axial direction, and a through-hole 46, to which the protrusion of the side plate member can be passed, is formed at a middle plate member 42 other than the side plate member of the stator.
