PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device for, when a medium to be imaged to which a phosphor is added is imaged, generating pickup image data corresponding to the medium to be imaged before the phosphor is added. SOLUTION: In the image reading device, feature fluorescent region data are extracted from second image data based on fluorescence in the case of emitting ultraviolet rays by an extraction part, and the feature fluorescent region is specified (S128). Then, a correction region data corresponding to a feature fluorescent region in first image data based on reflected rays of light in the case of emitting white rays of light are set by a correction region data setting part, and the correction region data are corrected by a correction part so as to become the feature fluorescent region in the medium to be imaged before a phosphor is added (S130). Therefore, the first image data can be turned to be pickup image data before the phosphor is added to the medium to be imaged. In other words, when the medium to be imaged to which the phosphor is added is imaged, the pickup image data of the medium to be imaged before the phosphor is added can be generated.
