PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database state monitoring device for detecting a "during reconfiguration" state that is not a "normal" state or an "abnormal" state of a database. SOLUTION: In a database system, a cluster includes a plurality of database nodes 50-1 to 50-n. A monitoring part 15 is disposed in each database node 50. The monitoring part 15 decides whether an operation state of the database is the "normal" state indicating a normal operation state, the "abnormal" state indicating an abnormal operation state, or the "during reconfiguration" state indicating a state that processing wait occurs in database access based on an access state to the database in each node. A monitoring information collection part 14 obtaines the operation state from the monitoring part 15, and registers the database node and the operation state into a state holding part 13 associating and holding them.
