PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic salt useful as an ionic fluid and a method for simply producing the organic salt. SOLUTION: The organic salt [1] is composed of an organic anion having 2πaromaticity and an organic cation which is electrostatically equivalent to the organic anion. The above organic anion [2] is represented by formula (1) or formula (2). The method [3] for producing an organic salt comprises mixing an aromatic compound which forms an organic anion having 2πaromaticity and a compound generating an organic cation by eliminating an ion-dissociable anion in a solvent.
