PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is troublesome for a diabetic patient that a sensor has to be loaded several times a day. SOLUTION: A blood test instrument is provided with a casing 12 which has a puncture part 13 and is nearly rectangular; a puncture means (laser puncture unit) 15 provided within the casing 12 and provided opposite the puncture part 13; a sensor cartridge 16 in which sensors 14 are stacked and housed; a conveyance means 17 which conveys to the puncture part 13 a sensor 14 housed in the sensor cartridge 16; and a measurement circuit part 18 electrically connected with the sensor 14 conveyed to the puncture part 13. A puncture part protection cover 21 which covers the puncture part 13 and which is freely openable is provided. Interlocking with opening of the puncture part protection cover 21, the sensor 14 housed in the sensor cartridge 16 is loaded to the puncture part 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
