PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of regenerating an adsorbent by effectively decomposing and removing harmful substances adsorbed by the adsorbent and continuing an air cleaning. SOLUTION: The air cleaner 1 adsorbs materials to be processed in the air with the adsorbent 2, is provided with an electrolyzer 21 as a cleaning liquid generating means for generating the cleaning liquid including active species, such as ozone.
