PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly transmit a scan data file to the outside. SOLUTION: A scanner 10 is provided with a scan data storage region 26 for storing a scan data file. The scanner 10 establishes a plurality of communication sessions for a PC 40. The scanner 10 transmits scan data included in one scan data file stored in the scan data storage region 26 to the PC 40 in parallel by using the plurality of communication sessions.
