A slot machine of the present invention is provided with: a display device on which plural types of symbols are arranged and a plurality of paylines can be set; at least one input device; and a controller. The controller is operable to: determine "n" paylines (n=1) from among the plurality of paylines, based upon input information input from the input device; set on the display device such determined "n" paylines; automatically rearrange the plural types of symbols arranged on the display device; count the number of symbols of a same type, the symbols being rearranged on such set "n" paylines; and award prizes corresponding to the number of symbols counted in such "n" paylines.
