The valve needle for a valve of combustion chambers of internal-combustion engines, comprises a seat area with a layer sequence of a first adhesive layer (14) designed as metal layer, a first wear-protection layer (16) designed as hard material layer, a second adhesive layer (18) designed as diamond-like carbon layer, and a second wear-protection layer (20). The first wear-protection layer has a layer thickness of 0.6-1.6 mu m. The second wear-protection layer has a layer thickness of 0.4-1.0 mu m. An independent claim is included for a valve with a valve body.
