<p>The present invention relates to a method of providing a first fluid on a surface, for manufacturing an electrowetting device. The method includes providing the surface; providing a volume of a second fluid immiscible with the first fluid; providing a dispenser for dispensing the first fluid; and dispensing the first fluid such that the first fluid moves through the second fluid onto the surface in a direction opposite to a direction of a gravitational force. The invention further relates to a method including placing a first fluid in contact with a surface whilst providing the surface in a position located relative to the first fluid in a direction opposite to a direction of a gravitational force. The present invention relates also to apparatus arranged to provide such methods, and to an electrowetting device.</p> |
