<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking system with improved tracking performance for a moving object by assuring execution of arrangement of particles with respect to the moving object without relying on a detecting function for the moving object in an initial process in the tracking system using a particle filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the tracking system 1 for tracking the moving object by using the particle filter, the particle filter 120 is configured to arrange the particles initially, in a standby state, in a given background region provided in the screen of a camera and to rearrange the particles with respect to the moving object in accordance with a change in likelihood that the object has with respect to the particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
