<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which is easy to downsize and thin a package, can be improved in output and incorporated with a protective element, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device is characterized in that it comprises a resin molding having a dent widening toward an opening end and an internal sidewall serving as a light reflecting surface and a first lead having a first inner lead embedded in the molding and having part thereof exposed in the dent, a light-emitting element stuck to the upper surface of the first inner lead exposed in the dent, a second lead having a second inner lead embedded in the molding and having part thereof exposed in the dent and having its tip facing a tip of the first inner lead, and a protective element stuck to either of the upper surface of the first inner lead and the upper surface of the second inner lead on the same side as the upper surface of the first inner lead and embedded in the molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
