<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a switching surge generated when a main breaker is turned on/off. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a surge absorption device which absorbs a switching surge caused in switching operation of the main breaker in a distribution panel connected to an AC single-phase three-wire system distribution line. The surge absorption device includes: three contactors 11 to 13 to be brought into contact with an L1-phase terminal, an N-phase terminal and an L2-phase terminal of the main breaker to make electric connections; and varistors 14 to 17 for switching surge absorption which are connected between the L1-phase terminal and N-phase terminal, and between the L2-phase terminal and N-phase terminal of the main breaker L1 through those contactors 11 to 13 respectively, and have an operation start voltage lower than the operation start voltage of a load-mounted varistor connected to the main breaker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
