<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for freely defining the structure of structural information and adapted to collaborative work by many persons. <P>SOLUTION: An information management device is provided with: a structure definition input means 1 for inputting a structure definition of information; a data definition input means 2 inputting a data definition that indicates information entities and a relation between the entities according to the input structure definition; and a modeling means 4 analyzing and converting the input definitions and restriction entities into ER models. The same ER model can be obtained even when the definitions are input in any form. Consequently, a user can freely define the structure without being completely conscious of the complicated structure of information, and association from both directions is not needed.
