PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly test the operating state of a fire detector even in a windy room and to quickly execute the test while preventing the fire detector or a tester from being overheated by hot blast by providing a hood with vent holes. SOLUTION: The tester comprises a tester body 3 for generating heat blast and jetting the heat blast from an opening part 2, and a hood part 4 having an outer diameter large enough to cover the fire detector FA and formed in an almost cylindrical shape connecting to the opening part 2, wherein vent holes 10 for discharging air to the outside are provided only at one side of the circumference of the hood part 4, and the operation of a heat-sensing fire detector FA installed in a windy room is tested.
