PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hexavalent chromium simplified determination method capable of easily specifying the content range of hexavalent chromium contained in samples. SOLUTION: A plurality of test solutions each containing a discoloring agent which changes its color by reaction with hexavalent chromium and having different contents of acid which dissolves a sample are each brought into contact with the sample to detect color changes of the test solutions and specify the content range of hexavalent chromium contained in the sample.
