PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, though a constitution is generally used, wherein a sensor is provided beforehand in a vehicle, and a living body in the vehicle is detected by using an output signal from the sensor, in a conventional living body detection system for confirming whether a human remains in a vehicle, the constitution can be applied only to a specific vehicle provided with the sensor, and cannot be applied to an unspecified vehicle. SOLUTION: In a living body detection system, a vibration detection means is brought into contact with a body or a wheel of a stopped vehicle, to thereby detect vibration of the vehicle, and it is detected whether a human remains in the vehicle by detecting whether a living body signal is included in a vibration signal. Since the vibration detection means is provided independently of the vehicle, a living body detection in the vehicle can be performed relative to an unspecified vehicle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
