<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent illegal access due to, so called, "spoofing" without stopping the flow of users in a gate device for authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The gate device includes:an entrance authentication means 8 as a first authentication means installed near the entrance of a gate device 1, a camera 9 as a second authentication means installed near an exit, and a plurality of slide shutters configured of opening/closing members 10 installed in parallel in the gate device 1 so that a partition space regulating the users can be formed. The user authenticated by the entrance authentication part 8 is allowed to enter the gate device 1 by opening the slide shutter. The partition space is adjusted based on the outer shape information of the user. The partition space is successively moved to the exit side. When it is confirmed (secondly authenticated) that the user entering the gate device 1 is identified with the person authenticated by the entrance authentication part 8 by the camera 9 at the exit side, and when it is determined that he or she is not identified, the access of the person is prohibited as spoofing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
