PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and image processing program capable of sufficiently leading out the correction effect of a face. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an image sensor, a face detection unit, an inference unit, a scene recognition unit, and a correction processing unit. The image sensor performs photoelectric conversion upon a subject image to produce an image signal. On the basis of the image signal, the face detection unit detects a face from a photographed picture and extracts feature points representing features of the face. On the basis of the feature points, the inference unit infers attributes of a person from the face of the person. On the basis of the image signal, the scene recognition unit recognizes the class of a photographed scene. On the basis of the inference results of the inference unit and the class of the photographed scene, the correction processing unit independently corrects a first region including the face and a second region different from the first region respectively, in an image for recording taken by the image sensor.
