PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device improved in reliability of products by suppressing a leak current between pixels, and to provide electronic equipment having the device. SOLUTION: The electrophoretic display device includes two-dimensionally arranged pixels each having an electrophoretic element that has a pixel electrode 21, a counter electrode 22 opposing to the pixel electrode 21, and an electrophoretic layer 23 composed of electrophoretic particles disposed between the pixel electrode 21 and the counter electrode 22.
