PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely lock a latch bolt when a door is closed. SOLUTION: This latch lock includes a drive member rotated by the operating force of a handle; a latch bolt retreating into a latch box with the drive force of the drive member; and a lock means for locking the latch bolt engaged with the receiving device of a door frame by the spring force of a latch spring when the door is closed. The drive member is disposed in one side space of the lock box with respect to the latch bolt, and the lock means is disposed in the opposite side space of the drive member. The lock means includes a tumbler rotated by the operating force of an operation member and a lock plate connected to the tumbler through a link and stopping the backward movement of the latch bolt by vertically sliding through a guide installed in the lock box.
