PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine allowing a worker to attach a speed changing device onto a floor by simple work and attach two kinds of speed changing devices onto the common floor. SOLUTION: For example, the speed changing device 20 for cab is constituted by assembling a speed changing pedal 22, a return spring 26, a changeover switch 27, a pedal stopper 28 or the like into a pedal bracket 21 in advance to form a subassembly. Consequently, the subassembly of the speed changing device 20 for cab can be formed in a space being different from and larger than a manufacturing line for a hydraulic shovel 1 and can be easily attached onto the floor 11 as one component. Furthermore, two kinds of speed changing devices, namely, the speed changing device 20 for cab used when mounting the cab 18 and the speed changing device 33 for canopy used when mounting the canopy 32 are prepared to use the floor 11 on which these two kinds of devices are attached as a common member.
