PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine capable of enhancing interesting aspects and increasing the revenue per unit gaming machine, and its control method. SOLUTION: This gaming machine includes: a gaming portion in which a plurality of dice roll and stop; a station having an input device with which a normal BET and a side BET being can be placed, the side BET being able to be placed on a numeral whose number of times of becoming the outcome reaches a predetermined value first among numerals marked on the respective faces of the dice in a plurality of games; and a controller programmed to execute processing (F) of counting the number of times that each numeral becomes the outcome for the respective numerals after the side BET has been accepted, and processing (I) of offering, when determining that any of the numbers of times counted for the respective numerals has become the predetermined value, a special payout based on information about the side BET placed on the numeral, the number of times of which has been determined to become the predetermined value.
