PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being wet with cold water in the conventional rice washing work, resulting from a procedure of using cold water, washing rice with hands, straining off the washing water using a colander, and transferring the washed rice to a rice cooking pot. SOLUTION: A rice washer includes a water channel provided to completely discharge the washing water utilizing a siphon action, and a discharge port for discharging the washed rice together with a suitable quantity of water, whereby the rice washing work can be simplified.
