PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the positioning precision of an arm regardless of the conflicting relationship between torque characteristics and assembly stiffness. SOLUTION: An arm support mechanism includes: a rotor 106 having a surface that faces a pivot support section 102; a sleeve 116 connected to the rotor 106; an outer-periphery member 125 that surrounds the sleeve 116; and a plurality of elastic connection sections 107 that connect the sleeve 116 and the outer-periphery member 125 and are elastically deformed in the rotary direction of the arm 126.
