<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component supply optimizing method and system that can reduce errors due to a surface mounting machine. <P>SOLUTION: In a production system composed of surface mounting machines 30A, 20B and a server 20 controlling them, the server 20 includes a component database 22 in which unit prices of components are previously stored and a disposal information database 24 in which information on disposed component is stored. A PC 40 transmits disposal information to the server 20 when an error occurs to the surface mounting machine 30A or 30B and a component is disposed. The server 20 calculates the total loss amount of the disposed component from the disposal information and a unit price stored in the component database 22, and supplies the same component as the disposed component to the surface mounting machine other than the surface mounting machine where the error occurs so that the total loss amount becomes minimum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
