PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable compatible with various patterns of interfaces, without using a connection adaptor or a replacement adaptor. SOLUTION: This optical fiber cable is provided with connector attaching terminals at both ends of a cable body including a buffer coated with a jacket and protecting a surface of an optical fiber with a resin. The buffer protrudes from a tip of each connector attaching terminal, and a through-hole for the buffer is prepared on the center axis of a connector. The connector is attached/detached and replaced to/from the connector attaching terminal, by inserting the buffer into the through-hole. Lock mechanisms are provided in the connector attaching terminal and the connector of the optical fiber cable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
