Provided are an input signal generating device used to input information and an input system and method using the input signal generating device. Accordingly, a reference signal and an ultrasonic signal are generated by a time period corresponding to a type of information generated by an input signal generating device for inputting the information, a position of the signal generating device is measured by using a difference between times at which the reference signal and the ultrasonic signal are received by an information input device, the time period (frequency) by which the reference signal is received is measured to identify information generated by the signal generating device and input the information. Therefore, as compared with a conventional method in which information is identified according to duration of a signal, power consumption can be minimized and various types of information can be input.
