<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preserving freshness which can efficiently preserve freshness of perishable foods with saved energy by trapping bacteria and decomposing and removing the same prior to diffusion of ethylene gas or the like from the perishable foods. <P>SOLUTION: To achieve the above task, an inlet 4 is installed on the upper side of a machine body 3 in which a side panel 2 is curved inward, an outlet 5 is installed on the bottom, a photocatalytic filter 6, an ultraviolet irradiator 7 and a blower 8 are installed in the machine body 3 located between the inlet 4 and the outlet 5 downstream in a stream of air, a perishable food 9 is placed close to the side panel 2 curved inward, air is sucked from the inlet 4 and gotten through the photocatalytic filter 6 in the machine body 3, ethylene gas or the like is decomposed and removed, this air from which bacteria are decomposed and removed is discharged from the outlet 5 in a slight flow slower than a prescribed flow rate, and turbulent flow in a preservation space 10 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
