PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical device having a core made of photocurable resin. SOLUTION: A filter 20 is fixed in a housing 10. The core 31 of a POF 30 is inserted therein. A circuit wiring board 60 on which a light receiving element is mounted and a circuit wiring board 50 on which a light emitting element and an integrated circuit for driving are mounted are provided therein. The center axes of the shaft-like cores 40 and 41 are on the same line, and the center axis of the shaft-like core 42 is arranged to be orthogonal thereto. The filter 20 has high transmittance in wavelength or wavelength band of light to be received by the light receiving element mounted on the circuit wiring board 60, and high reflectance in wavelength or wavelength band of light emitted by the light emitting element mounted on the circuit wiring board 50.
